INGREDIENTS

  1. Pre heat the oven at 180 degree centigrade
  2. Separate egg yolk and whites Bear whites till soft peaks are formed .keep aside
  3. In a pan mix all the dry ingredients other than granulated sugar
  4. Beat egg yolk and sugar till pale consistency is obtained Add the lemon zest and juice at this stage
  5. Add butter and beat again Gradually add the dry ingredients satellites by step and mix in the butter milk in between the process
  6. Pour the batter in the greased spring baking tin
  7. Bake for 40 minutes till center comes clean Remove the cake and bring it to room temperature and remove from the tin
  8. For syrup Mix lemon juice and powdered sugar Pour over the cake gently
  9. Icing Mix in the lemon juice and sugar .heat over low heat in a pan and then add milk Remove from heat .let it cool Gently glaze the cake
