Mushrooms – one of the most versatile FUNGI.

Yes , you may be wondering , mushron are classified as vegetables , technically but are part of the kingdom called Fungi.

They may share same characteristics with plants and with animals

Mushrooms are low in calories, they have no fat and no calories. One cup mushroom may provide 2 grams of proteins. Mushrooms contain indigestible carbs called Chitin. Chitin is also found in crabs and shrimps .They also provide vitamin B riboflavin and niacin which are important to people who don’t eat non vegetarian.

So we have established they are like plant and animal both and give you goodness of vegetables and non veg.

I love any thing to do with mushrooms , may it be a simple fluffy patty, mushroom pizza, rice , croissant or mushroom chicken, they go well with every savoury dish

  • TEQUILA MUSHROOMS
    Creamy tequila mushroom recipe
    YIELD: 2 CUPS (4 Servings)PREP: 15 MIN minsCOOK: 15MIN minsREADY IN: 30 mins
    A CREAMY TEQUILA BASED MUSHROOMS
  • INGREDIENTS
    4 CUP sliced mushrooms
    1 TBSP all-purpose flour
    3 I TBSP grated parmesan
    1 CUP milk
    1 TSP Kosher salt
    1 TSP white pepper powder
    1/3 CUP chopped onions
    3 TBSP TEQUILA SPIRIT
    2 TBSP chopped parsley
    2 TBSP black olives, roughly chopped
    2 Cloves Cloves Garlic, Chopped
    2 Tbsp olive oil
    INSTRUCTIONS
    In a pan on low heat sauté the flour till light brown set aside and mix in the milk as keep aside
    In a separate pan , on a low heat , heat olive oil. Add onions and garlic .saute for 3 minutes
    Add the chopped mushrooms of your choice.s aute for 2 minutes
    Add in tequila and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes
    Now add the milk mixture and spices.cook for 2-3 Mintu teas till the mixture thickens
    Add cheese and let it melt in Remove on a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley Serve with steamed rice or croissants
