Chocolate fudge cake

Rich dense dark fudge chocolate cake



  1. Pre heat the oven at 180 degree centigrade
  2. Separate the eggs whites and whisk till soft peaks are formed . Set aside
  3. In a different bowl mix in egg yolks, sugar and butter. Whisk them till creamy yellowish consistency is obtained
  4. Add in Chocolate powder and mix well
  5. Mix in baking powder, vanilla extract and water and blend
  6. Prepare 2 baking dishes, grease the bottom with oil Pour in half batter in each dish
  7. Bake for 30 minutes and remove from oven.let the cakes cool off
  8. While the cake was baking prepare the icing by double boiling the chocolate and remove from heat .add in cognac and cream .set aside
  9. Assemble the cake- Place one chocolate cake on a serving dish Layer some chocolate icing on top and them place the other cake on top
  10. Pour the remaining icing on the top so that entire cake is covered with dark chocolate. Icing
  11. Garnish with cherries and refrigerate for 2 hours and serve chilled with vanilla ice cream
