Today, we write to you from Le Cordon Bleu Paris where Monish Gujral will arrive shortly.
Chef Monish Gujral comes from the north of India and it will be the first time that we welcome an Indian Chef from this region of your country.
It will also be the first time that we welcome an Indian Chef who is also a writer, an historian and an entrepreneur with restaurants around the world.
Monish Gujral is really a model for many young students and Le Cordon Bleu students.
The Paris Cookbook Fair to which he is invited to participate is the most important window for cookbook publications in the world and he will be the sole representative of India.
Indian food is not as well represented in France as it is in London. Consequently it is very important to receive Indian guests who can promotion the Indian food culture.
We have more and more students coming from Indi; they are interested in the culinary arts and especially French Pastry.
French cuisine does not appeal to Indian tastes as the flavours are not strong enough! But French pastry and especially chocolate cakes are extremely appealing to the Indian palate.
Indian Chefs and French Pastry Chefs can therefore share their passion and skills!
Under are some of the links related with the events taking place in Paris and also with Le Cordon Bleu Paris..
If we can send you more information or put you in contact with former Indian students, please let us know;
With kind regards,
Catherine Baschet
