Moti Mahal, a global chain of restaurants and forerunner of Tandoori cuisine, established way back in 1920, now with its new look offers a complete Tandoori cuisine with traditional Indian food, everyday from 12 noon to midnight.
Monish Gujral, the MD of the chain, calls the new look of Moti Mahal as “Moti Mahal Deluxe Tandoori Trail”. He said, “This is a tribute to our grandfather, the founder of Moti Mahal and the inventor of Tandoori Chicken and Butter Chicken. It signifies the Moti Mahal’s Culinary trail from Peshawar to Delhi.”
“Our outlet at Bahu Plaza is the first green restaurant with contemporary and classic fusion decor. Being an inhabitant of the temple city, we have incorporated nature along with Kashmiri local handicraft in our decor to bring about the unique culture of the State”, he added.
“Moti Mahal Tandoori Trail” restaurants offer a complete Tandoori cuisine with traditional Indian food and choices of mouth watering dishes such as their signature butter chicken, burra kebab, chicken pakora, chicken tikka achari with an equal choice for our vegetarian dishes such as makhmali paneer tikka, makhani panir, dal motimahal, subz sizzler etc.
Being situated at the corporate hub, the restaurant has introduced special menu combos such as Makhani meals menus serving butter chicken or makhani panir, dal makhani, salad, butter nan or parantha (veg and non-veg price options available in the menu) and kebab samplers at affordable prices.

First chef from India to be invited to Le cordon Bleu to demonstrate in Paris. Monish is credited with the trailblazing turn-around of Moti Mahal, from being a small but iconic presence in Delhi, to becoming a multi-national corporation that is well on its way to defining how the world eats Indian food. A traditionalist, Monish has remained true to the signature dishes that made Moti Mahal a legend, while reinventing the dining experience into one that is exciting and avant garde to suit modern sensibilities.
