The granola bar is a one stop solution to my unhealthy snacking habit and must I say,these babies sure are addictive! They make a wholesome breakfast,so when you are rushing through your monday mornings just grab one with a coffee and you are good to go.Granola bars are pretty simple and easy to make,the only glitch being that they take a little longer to bake. So all you need is a little time to spare over the weekend, to make a batch and store them in airtight jars.You can also experiment a little and coat a few of your bars with gooey dark or white chocolate!

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 130°C. oil any baking tin, or use a throwaway foil one.
  2. Warm the condensed milk in a large pan.
  3. Bake for 15-20 mins(or less). Let the mixture cool to room temperature,then cut up into chunky pieces.
  4. Now,mix together all the other ingredients and then add the warmed condensed milk, using a wooden spatula to fold and distribute evenly.
  5. Spread the mixture into the tin and press down with the spatula or, better still, your hands (grease your hands to avoid you sticking), to even the surface.
  6. Melt the dark chocolate and white seperately. Coat the bars evenly with white or dark chocolate according to your choice(or store them into airtight containers.)
