
A cheesy treat – cheese souffle -classic recipe
Most of us love cheese, in our bakes, burgers , sandwiches and even as a snack or as mezze . Specially in winters with a sip of red wine and a bunch of grapes.
As a child , I would remember requesting the double cheese in my burgers or telling my mom to grate more cheese over my toasts .
I remember my mom used to make this devine cheese souffle often and fights with my siblings for a larger share. The cheese souffle has to eaten as soon as its baked and taken out of the oven as it deflates soon. I was always first on the dining table when cheese souffle was on the dinner menu , for a larger share .

a savory cheesy treat .Light classic baked cheese souffle
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 TBSP all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 TBSP butter , softened
- 1/2 CUP MILK
- 2 NOS EGGS SEPERATED
- 1/4 CUP CHEESE GRATED
- 21/2 TBSP grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 TSP Mustard powder
- 1/2 TSP Kosher salt
- 1/2 TSP white pepper powder
- 1/2 TSP chopped parsley
Instructions
- Heat the oven at 200 degree centigrade
grease 2 one cup size ramekins
In a pan heat butter and add flour .
stir for 3 minutes
add in luke warm milk gradually and stir till mixture thickens
mix in all spices and chopped parsley
Add egg yolk , continuously stirring to avoid scrambling
mix in cheese till it melts and is incorporated
remove from heat and let ir cool
In a bowl whisk egg whites till soft peaks are formed
slowly fold the egg white to the cheese mixture
pour the miz equally in the 2 ramekins
bake for 3o minutes till the souffle is risen
do not over cook
eat as soon as baked
